Codex Subagent Review Panel

A copy-ready parent prompt for running accessibility, first-user, copy, edge-state, and design-system review lanes in parallel with Codex subagents.

What this is

This is the parent prompt for a multi-lens Codex review. The parent thread delegates narrow review lanes, waits for the reports, deduplicates findings, and returns one prioritized fix list.

Use it on one URL, screenshot, or component folder at a time.

Parent prompt

Run a read-only multi-lens design review.

Target:
[URL, screenshot, or component folder]

Context:
- Read AGENTS.md first if available.
- Read design-system rules, token docs, and component docs before judging violations.
- If a rule is not documented, label it as a recommendation, not a violation.

Create five review lanes:

1. Accessibility reviewer
Check contrast, keyboard access, focus states, labels, landmarks, semantics, target size, and heading structure.

2. First-time user reviewer
Check whether a new visitor can understand the page purpose, primary action, hierarchy, next step, and trust signals.

3. Copy reviewer
Check labels, CTAs, errors, empty states, tone, specificity, and vague wording.

4. Edge-state reviewer
Check loading, empty, error, long content, mobile wrapping, disabled states, and overflow.

5. Design-system reviewer
Check component reuse, semantic token usage, spacing scale, typography scale, motion rules, banned patterns, and duplicate UI patterns.

Rules for each lane:
- Read-only.
- Max 5 findings.
- Include severity, evidence, fix, and confidence.
- Do not suggest broad redesigns.
- Do not include praise.

Parent thread:
- Merge findings.
- Deduplicate overlaps.
- Prioritize the top 10.
- Group by severity.
- Call out which lane found each issue.
- End with the top 3 fixes I should do first.

Three-lane version

For smaller screens, use this:

Run a lightweight read-only design review with three lanes:
1. Accessibility
2. First-time user clarity
3. Design-system compliance

Target:
[URL, screenshot, or component folder]

Each lane returns max 3 findings.
Parent merges, deduplicates, and gives me the top 5 fixes.

Before you automate it

Do this manually twice. If both reports are useful, then turn it into a weekly workflow.
